The Fenix HL40R headlamp has a maximum output of 600 lumens from the Cree XP-L HI V2 LED and is powered by a built-in, Li-poly battery which is rechargeable.

The HL40R is an excellent all-round head torch with a focusing feature, allowing for either spot or flood lighting. This innovative design makes the lamp suitable for a range of applications, including walking, DIY and photography. The overlapping headband provides a large bearing area preventing the HL40R from slipping or falling off, in addition to making it comfortable to wear for long periods.

The head torch has two operating modes, General and Functional, which are controlled by a dual switch on the top of the lamp. Hold the General switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on and off and single press to cycle through the modes. In General mode, press and hold the General switch for 1.2 seconds to enter Burst mode. To access Functional mode, press and hold the Functional switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on and off and single press to select between modes.

Available in Blue or Grey.

High: 300 lumens - 4 hrs 30 mins runtime
Mid: 130 lumens - 11 hrs runtime
Low: 70 lumens - 22 hrs runtime
Eco: 30 lumens - 50 hrs runtime

Plus Burst (600 lumens - 1 hr 20 mins accumulated runtime), Reading (4 lumens - 200 hrs runtime) and SOS (30 lumens - 100 hrs runtime).

Maximum beam distance 96 meters, waterproof to IP66 and resistant to impacts up to 1 meter.
